Build a shortlist of favorites

Activate the star beside any generated name to save it. A filled star means that spelling is in your shortlist; activating it again removes the entry. The same spelling cannot take two slots. All visible copies of a name reflect its saved state.

The shortlist holds up to 40 distinct names. At the limit, remove one before adding another. Generating a new batch leaves your saved ideas in place. On a narrow screen the shortlist appears after the result grid; the Saved names navigation link takes you to it.

Know where favorites are kept

Favorites are stored in this browser on the playgames.fan origin. They are separate from guide bookmarks and do not synchronize to another device, browser profile or account. Reloading normally restores them when browser storage is available. A compatible shortlist from the original version uses the same storage key.

If storage is blocked or full, the tool reports that it could not persist the shortlist. Your favorites remain usable for the current page session, but may disappear after you leave. Copy important choices into a note outside the generator before clearing browser data or changing devices. Private browsing can also remove local data when its session ends.

Copy one spelling at a time

  1. Activate the name text, rather than its star. A successful action copies only that spelling.
  2. If the browser blocks clipboard access, use the selected fallback field shown by the tool.
  3. On a keyboard, press Ctrl+C or Command+C while the spelling is selected. On a phone, long-press the field and use the browser’s Copy action.
  4. Paste into a note or the game’s naming field and inspect the exact spelling.

Clipboard access depends on browser support, permission and a secure page. A failed copy does not alter your shortlist. Copying is triggered by your control action; it does not send the name to the game, reserve it, or share it with another person.

Clear or move your shortlist deliberately

Clear shortlist immediately removes all names from the current shortlist. Copy the names you want to keep before activating it; this tool has no undo or backup-file export. Removing one star is useful when you only need to free a single slot. If a storage-error warning appears, the clearing may not persist and previously stored names can return after a reload.

When local storage is available, an update made in another tab on the same origin can refresh the shortlist here. This is browser storage coordination, not cloud synchronization. Guide bookmarks, theme choices and names use separate entries. The usage events describe a bounded copy or count action, never the spelling you copied.
