How Prehistoric Farm inventory planning works

Prehistoric Farm inventory planning here means recording your own current requirements and making a transparent reservation plan. It does not determine a correct quest recipe or recommend an optimal game route.

Copy your current HUD, not a guessed recipe

Write the version or observation date you are using. Register each resource once with a distinct name, then enter its current stock. Blank stock means unknown; 0 means you have checked and own none. Quantities must be whole numbers from 0 to 1,000,000,000. The tool accepts at most 40 resources and 12 goals.

Use the same registered resource in every goal

Goals choose an existing resource ID instead of creating another stockpile. If two goals need the same item, both select that one entry. Names are unique after case, Unicode NFKC and leading/trailing whitespace normalization; internal spaces are not collapsed. Two differently named game items should stay separate; the tool cannot identify items for you.

Confirm consume or check-only before allocating

New requirements begin as Unknown — confirm first. Choose Reserve / consume only when you want that goal to reserve the quantity in this plan. Check only / held compares the stock left at that goal’s priority and reserves nothing. This manual choice is not a claim about the game’s real mechanic. An unconfirmed type makes later use of that resource conditional.

Priority changes the reservation, not the game

The first goal gets available stock first. In a purely arithmetic example, stock 5 with requirements A=4 and B=3 reserves A=4/B=1, leaving B short by 2. Moving B earlier reserves B=3/A=2 and leaves A short by 2. These example amounts are not Prehistoric Farm requirements. An incomplete earlier goal still keeps its partial reservation. Your original inventory inputs do not change.

Unknown is not zero, and later coverage may be conditional

A blank requirement or stock cannot produce an exact reservation or shortage. If an earlier requirement may consume this resource but its quantity or mechanism is unknown, later uses remain conditional too. Known unrelated resources can still be planned. The page calls this a partial plan, never a complete game solution. A check-only goal with an unknown amount does not consume stock.

Edit, allocate again, then resume later

Any edit or priority change clears the previous result. Allocate shared inventory is the explicit calculation step. You can add a short next-action note to a goal, but the tool cannot verify that action or the game’s completion. JSON export contains inputs only; import validates the whole file before replacing the current plan. Imported or restored plans need fresh allocation.

Keep a private copy or enable device saving

Saving is off by default. You may enable it for this browser, or export a private JSON file. Turning saving off removes this tool’s saved plan when browser storage allows it. A storage failure is shown instead of claiming success. JSON files may contain your private notes; keep them yourself. No file is uploaded. Help and privacy links from the tool open a separate tab. Unsaved nonempty edits, including imported plans, request a browser warning before leaving or refreshing. Preparing an export is not proof that the file was saved; keep your own backup.
