Prehistoric Fieldnotes privacy starts with local operation. Resource names, stock counts, version labels, requirements, priority and notes are processed in the page. They are not sent to this site’s analytics or a game service. No Roblox login or account connection exists.
Saving is optional
Saving is off by default. When enabled, this tool stores its version1 plan and saving preference in localStorage under its own namespace. The light/dark preference also uses its own local key. This is browser storage, not a cloud backup or account sync. Storage failures are displayed; private-browsing or browser cleanup may remove data.
Turning saving off and clearing a plan
Turning saving off attempts to remove the saved plan and preference but keeps current edits for this visit. If removal fails, a warning says stored data may remain until you clear site data in browser settings. Clear plan asks for confirmation and replaces the current inputs; export first if you want to keep them.
Import and export are private file operations
A JSON export contains your entered plan, including notes, so keep it private. Its filename is always prehistoric-plan.json and is not based on your input. Import reads the file locally, validates a bounded schema before replacing the current plan, and never uploads it. File names, file contents, numbers and results are not passed to analytics. Export preparation does not mark a draft as safely saved. Unsaved nonempty edits request a browser leave/refresh warning; reference links from the tool open a separate tab.
Limited, privacy-gated analytics
On the exact production origin and these four page paths, GA4 may load. This tool’s custom events use fixed tool_view, tool_start, tool_complete and tool_share names with a fixed site_key and fixed action. Google may also emit automatic session, engagement or configured enhanced-measurement events. A nonempty valid explicit allocation can start a task. Completion requires at least one positive requirement, every goal checked, all participating inventory, quantities and types known, and no conditional allocation. A shortage is allowed because calculation completion is not game completion. Partial or unknown-only plans do not count as complete; unchanged repeat clicks do not repeat it. Export can back up a draft, but only export of a current complete allocation records tool_share. This event means backup preparation, not successful game play, sharing with another person or download receipt. No entered text, numbers, result or file name is sent.
Privacy signals and clean URLs
Analytics does not load in template demos, local previews, other origins or unmatched paths. Global Privacy Control and either navigator or window Do Not Track (1 or yes) suppress it. Page location excludes query strings and fragments, and page referrer is not sent by this tool’s configuration. Google’s service may still receive normal technical request information when loaded; this page does not claim anonymous network access or a verified live analytics receipt.
No advertising or game services in this tool
This release contains no advertising SDK, game embedding, image upload, account service or external generation API. Reference links open public third-party pages under their own policies. This local tool does not change the wider Playgames site’s privacy or consent mechanisms.
